Chorale and Choir School

| Chorale and Choir School were held in the same room we had our in person audition. The sound of us singing in this room was fantastic because we could hear each other so well. Once we went upstairs, it was quite a different experience. The instruction in Choir School is superb. |
Chorale is being held on Tuesdays. We are learning music and practicing skills.
Choir School is held on Thursdays. During Choir School we are instructed on technique, theory, etc. Both run for about 2 1/2 hours each.
Additional rehearsals are planned during this schedule.
Those who only have one year in the choir are required to participate in Chorale their second year. We were able to meet a lot of choir members this way which was really nice. Second year members pull double duty in a way. They attend Chorale on Tuesday then have rehearsal on Thursday and are singing in Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday.
100% attendance is required and expected.
The instruction is fantastic. Each of the instructors comes with such a vast array of knowledge that the time goes by so quickly. There is always something to learn and with so many people of varying musical backgrounds they were able to teach it in a way that everyone could benefit.
Everyone is so kind and helpful. I was missing a piece of music and Linda Marguettes loaned me her copy which was so nice considering she may need it because she is one of the organists for the choir. Anyway, everyone is friendly and there is a really supportive spirit in our group.
